Personality & Traits

Personal History Victoria Dolan, called Vic later on, was born to a convict of Stellan Penal Colony, the daughter of another convict--having been conceived before their arrest. She does not now remember their names, nor does she care to. As soon as she was born, she was taken away and put up for adoption, but mostly shifted through foster care. Angry at the world, she got in to trouble often, although she excelled at athletics.

At seventeen, she ran away from the group home she had been placed into and made her way to San Francisco. She had a mind to join Starfleet, but didn't know what she could do. On a whim, she chose to enlist in the SFMC. She had feared that the group home would come looking for her and she'd be "found out," but no one ever came.

Apparently, they had more important things to do. And she was seventeen.

Entering the Corps proved...difficult. She was physically fit and able to meet every challenge in that nature, but her anti-authority streak reared its head more times than one. (Joining a military organization had not been a well-thought out decision on her part, but she was too stubborn to leave.) Eventually, she was almost kicked out all together, but she was given one more chance if she "straightened her shit out, yesterday."

She didn't want to leave. Vic wasn't sure why, but she didn't. She stuck it out. It was a struggle, but she did it. In the process, she found a skill. It gave her a sense of something that she'd never had: like she mattered; like she had something to offer.

It turned out that Vic had the talent for being a sniper.

Eventually, she was moved out of training and onto her first posting. The war within her continued, but in time, she began to find the discipline. The walls began to soften, although they never did fall, and she began to think that maybe not everyone in the universe was a total moron. With this came progress, both with her reviews going up and her disciplinary actions going down. And now, more than a decade later, she finds herself a sergeant and heading to yet one new ship...
